Will your résumé make it through the ATS?

Most companies screen résumés with an applicant tracking system (ATS) before a recruiter reads them. Drop in your résumé and the job you want. We’ll score it the way those systems do and tell you exactly what to fix.

1. Your résumé

2. The job

Or type the title and paste the description.

Paste the whole posting. The more of it, the better the check.

Free. No account. We don’t keep your résumé.

What we check

The posting’s words

ATS rank you on literal matches. We list the terms you have, the ones you say in other words, and the ones that are missing.

Where they appear

A skill buried in a paragraph counts for less than one in your skills block and proven in a bullet.

Title, years, structure

Your headline against the job title, your years stated plainly, and headings a parser recognizes.

Questions

What does this ATS checker score?

The same things Applause scores on every draft it writes: whether your résumé uses the posting’s own words, where they appear, whether your headline matches the job title, whether you state your years of experience, and whether the structure is one a parser can read.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account and no card. We don’t keep your résumé after the check.

Why is my score low when I’m qualified?

Usually because you describe the right experience in different words. A person gets it; a keyword filter often doesn’t. The “said in other words” list shows exactly which phrases to use.

Can it guarantee I pass an ATS?

No tool can, and we won’t pretend. Systems differ. What this does is check the things they have in common, and tell you how to fix each one.
