Six stages. No guessing where things stand.

Every application sits in one stage. Move it with a tap when something changes. The colour always comes with the word, so you can read it at a glance.

  • SavedA job you want to look at properly. Paste a link or save it from the side panel.
  • AppliedYou sent it. The clock for a follow-up starts here.
  • InterviewThey want to talk. Time to get your stories ready.
  • OfferA real yes on the table.
  • HiredYou said yes back. The biggest clap of all.
  • ClosedNot this one. It stays in your history and still counts.

What the tracker does for you

A timeline for every application

Open any job and see its story: when you saved it, the drafts you wrote for it, when you sent it, each stage change and every follow-up. Add notes as you go, like who you spoke to or what they asked.

When the recruiter calls three weeks later, you know exactly which résumé they have.

A weekly goal you set

Pick how many applications you want to send each week. Five is the default, anywhere from 1 to 50 works. Home shows where you are, like “3 of 5 this week”, and the week starts fresh every Monday.

Hit it and you earn Goal getter. Miss it and nothing scolds you. New week, fresh start.

A streak that never breaks on weekends

Any real step keeps your streak going: saving a job, writing a draft, sending, moving a stage or following up. Weekends are skipped when you rest and count when you don’t.

Today doesn’t break it either. The day isn’t over until it’s over, in your own time zone.

Follow-up nudges, before ghosting wins

Most applications go quiet. That silence is usually a busy inbox, not a no. When a job has sat in Applied for 7 days with no news, Home shows “Nudge Kestrel. It’s been 8 days.” with a Follow up button.

Tap Follow up and we draft a short, polite note from the job, your notes and your profile. You edit it and you send it. We never send anything for you. Still quiet at 10 days? A reminder lands in your inbox too.

It tracks itself from the side panel

With the Chrome extension, save a job right from the posting. When you submit the application, the job moves to Applied on its own, and your goal and streak update with it.

Home, Applications, Discover and Drafts are in the panel too, so you rarely need to switch tabs.

Milestones worth celebrating

Job hunting is long and mostly silent, so we count the wins out loud. First send. A 5-day streak. Ten applications sent. Your first interview. Your first offer. Hired!

Each one gets a proper clap, and a weekly recap shows how far you’ve come.

Why track applications at all?

Because a search you can see is a search you can steer. When every application lives in one place, patterns show up fast. Maybe your résumé gets interviews for growth roles and silence for platform roles. Maybe you apply in bursts and then stall. Maybe three companies owe you an answer and a nudge would get it.

It also helps you stay kind to yourself. Seeing “12 sent, 2 interviews” on a quiet week is proof you’re moving, even when the inbox says otherwise.

And it works best when the tracking is the easy part. In Applause, the same place that tracks the job also checks your fit before you apply and writes the résumé, cover letter and screening answers from your profile. Want to see how that part works? Questions

Is the job application tracker free?

Yes. Tracking, goals, streaks, milestones and follow-up nudges are on the free plan with no cap on applications. The free plan also includes 3 tailored résumés a month, or unlimited drafts with your own Anthropic key.

Do I have to add every application by hand?

No. Paste a job link and it lands in Saved. With the Chrome side panel, save a job straight from the posting, and when you submit the form the job moves to Applied on its own.

What counts toward my weekly goal?

Applications you send. You pick the number, from 1 to 50 a week, and the week starts on Monday in your own time zone.

Why doesn’t my streak break on weekends?

Because rest is part of a long search. An empty Saturday or Sunday is skipped. If you do something on a weekend, it counts. Saving a job, writing a draft, sending, moving a stage or following up all keep the streak going.

When does it remind me to follow up?

When an application has sat in Applied for 7 days with no news and no follow-up from you, a “Nudge Kestrel” to-do shows up on Home. At 10 quiet days we also send a reminder email, at most once a week. You can turn the emails off in Settings.

What happens when a company says no?

Move it to Closed. It stays in your history, it still counts as an application you sent, and your streak and milestones stay yours.
