The Chrome extension

A fit X-ray on every job post

Clappy, the assistant in the Applause Chrome extension, reads the posting as you see it and checks it against what you’ve actually done. Nothing is saved until you decide it’s worth your time.

  • Every requirement scored on the page itself: have it, in other words, or not shown yet
  • A match score with the must-haves you meet, your gaps and ATS stats
  • Talk it through with Clappy, by voice or text. Real answers join your story and lift your match

Your story

Tell it once. It counts for every job.

Every gap you close, every answer you give Clappy and every résumé you upload lands in Your story, in your own words. Applause sorts it by role and skill and tells you which notes could be stronger. Every draft, fit check and answer reads from it, and from nothing else.

  • On each saved job, the requirements become quests: close one and watch your match climb
  • Add it by typing, dictating, a link or a file, or say “I have this” and add details later
  • See how well Clappy knows you: roles with a story, skills backed by one
  • Already told Claude or ChatGPT? Your assistant can add it, with your yes

The form, filled. The submit button, yours.

On the application page, the side panel fills in your details, attaches the résumé it just wrote and pastes the answers. It remembers what you type for next time. It never presses submit.

  • Anything it isn’t sure about is outlined for you to check
  • Your answers stay private, and you can edit or delete them in Settings

FAQ

Good questions

How does Applause know if a job fits me?

Open a posting and Clappy, the assistant in the Chrome side panel, reads it as you see it. It scores every requirement against your profile in about a second: have it, in other words, or not shown yet. You get a match score, the must-haves you meet and your gaps before you save anything.

Does the AI make things up?

No. Drafts are written only from your story, and a second pass checks every claim against it. Anything it can’t support is flagged before you send, and you decide whether to fix it or add it to your story.

What is Your story?

Everything you tell Applause, kept in your own words: your résumé, the gaps you close on each job, your answers to Clappy. It’s sorted by role and skill, flags possible duplicates and notes that need a number or an outcome, and shows how well Clappy knows you. Every draft, fit check and answer reads from it, so each job you check makes the next application better.

Can it prepare applications while I’m away?

Yes, with auto-tailor on Pro, or free with your own AI key. Turn it on in Settings and pick a match bar. When a company you follow posts a role above it, Applause drafts what the application asks for and emails you to review it. It never sends anything.

Will it apply to jobs for me?

No, on purpose. Applause writes the résumé, cover letter and screening answers and fills in the form, but you always review and hit submit. Ten applications that fit beat a hundred that get filtered out.

Will my résumé get past the ATS?

Nobody can promise a ranking, and we won’t. An applicant tracking system is the software most companies use to read and rank applications before a recruiter looks. Applause does what those systems reward: the posting’s own terms in the right places, a clean one-column layout, standard headings and real text. Every draft shows its ATS score and exactly what would raise it.

Is Applause Jobs free?

Yes. The free plan includes 3 tailored résumés and 10 cover letters or answer sets a month, plus 3 followed careers pages. Pro is $12 a month (R$ 29,90 in Brazil). Cancel any time.

Can I use it without limits for free?

Yes. Add your own Anthropic key in Settings and drafting has no monthly cap, on the free plan. You pay Anthropic directly for what you use, about 20 cents per résumé. The key is stored encrypted and never shown again.

Which job sites does it work with?

The side panel works on most job posts you can open in Chrome, and autofill works on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and most application forms. For alerts, Applause follows careers pages on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and SmartRecruiters, RSS feeds and most company careers pages. LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor listings can’t be followed, but you can paste the job text.

Does it work with ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes, on every plan, free included. Connect Applause to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and ask things like “any new roles that fit me?” It works from your story and applications, with the same claim check, and never sends anything for you. It can also add what it already knows about you to your story, after you say yes.

What happens to my data?

It’s yours. Your story, profile and drafts are private to your account, we never sell them, and you can delete everything from Settings at any time.

Apply where you fit. We’ll bring the applause.

Every application worth sending, all true, and a celebration when it lands. Because your career deserves applause.
